Closed Online Test 1 → Closed Online Test 2
MapleStory Classic World client changelog: Closed Online Test 1 to Closed Online Test 2
What changed in the game files between the two closed tests, 21 April 2026 and 4 August 2026. Kept for the record: the site is built from the Grand Launch now, and what the second test had that the release does not is marked CoT2: From Closed Online Test 2 (Beta 2). Not in the Grand Launch; kept here as a record..
About this page
What it is
Two client exports compared field by field, not Nexon’s patch notes, so it shows changes nobody announced. It can’t say why something changed: a typo fix and a rebalance look the same.
What it misses
Drop rates, shop stock and quiz answers live on the server, so they never show up here. Some of what arrived, like Orbis and 3rd job, was held back from the Public Release; this site keeps those pages, marked CoT2.
Closed Online Test 2 is dated 4 August at the end of the older diff and 11 August at the start of the newer one, and both are right: the first was made from the build the test opened on, the second from the one its 11 August balance maintenance left. What that maintenance changed (Rush’s cooldown went from 3 seconds to 1, for one) is in neither diff.
From the OSMS Data Explorer datamine of 5 August 2026. More on the sources.
Equipment802 changed · page 2 of 29
New 230Changed 802Removed 0A defence pass, mostly: 798 of the 802 revised rows carry a stat change, 749 of them touch DEF, and for 633 the defence number is the only thing that moved at all. Only 20 are renames, which is why each field is shown separately rather than summarised.
